Cleaning Recommendations
1.Light Stain Treatment
Use a clean, soft cloth or a dedicated leather wipe dampened with a small amount of water to gently wipe dust and surface stains along the grain of the gloves. Take care not to over-wet the material, as excessive moisture may penetrate the inner layers and compromise fiber performance.
2.Stubborn Stain Cleaning
For tougher stains, dilute a neutral detergent or mild leather cleaner with warm water at a 1:10 ratio. Gently scrub the affected area using a soft-bristle brush or sponge. Important: Do not use alcohol, vinegar, bleach, or strongly alkaline cleaners, as these may corrode the PU coating, leading to surface peeling or hardening.
3.Hand Washing (if full cleaning is necessary)
- Fill a basin with warm water at 30–40 °C and add a small amount of neutral laundry detergent;
- Soak the gloves for no more than 10 minutes, gently agitating and focusing on heavily soiled areas such as the palm and finger joints;
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all detergent residue;
- Blot excess moisture with a dry towel—do not wring or machine-spin.
4.Drying Method
Air-dry naturally in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, radiators, or hot air from hair dryers, to prevent cracking of the PU layer and embrittlement of Kevlar fibers. Do not fold or store gloves before they are completely dry, as this may cause permanent creasing.
5.Maintenance Tips
Regularly apply a leather conditioner or lotion specifically designed for synthetic leather to maintain the flexibility and sheen of the PU layer and extend the product's service life. Avoid products containing high levels of silicone oil or wax, as they may reduce grip friction.
Important Notes
- Frequent washing is not recommended. After regular use, wipe with a dry cloth and allow to air out to remove moisture;
- If gloves are used for high-risk tasks (e.g., cut or puncture resistance), inspect carefully after each wash for signs of fiber breakage or coating delamination;
- For severe contamination or chemical exposure, it is recommended to send the gloves to a professional protective equipment cleaning service to avoid improper handling that could compromise protective performance.
